How To Improve Your Skins Texture

How To Improve Your Skins Texture

Skin texture is a primary concern for people of all skin types, whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin, acne scars, or flakiness. We formulate all of our products with these concerns in mind so you can have smoother, softer, skin.

Jet Lag Mask, R+R Mask, Overtime Mask, and Soft Reset all have elements of exfoliation in them to help slough off dead skin, encourage cell turnover.Hydration is key in improving your skin texture and all of our products have some sort of hydrating element to nourish your skin and help maintain its progress.

Plus, a few of our products — like CC Me Serum, Super Amino Gel Cleanser, Overtime Mask, R+R Mask, and Jet Lag Mask — also contain antioxidant-rich ingredients to protect your skin's moisture barrier to also maintain its smoother texture.

We have included a few of our biggest tips and tricks on how you can improve your skin's texture with the help of a few Summer Fridays products.

Cleanse Skin Regularly

A lot of texture is caused because of a buildup of bacteria or dirt. This accumulation of pore-clogging debris can be solved with one easy step in your routine: cleansing! This probably sounds obvious, but cleansing your skin regularly and well is extremely important for maintaining smooth skin.

Depending on your skin type, you can cleanse twice a day in both the AM and PM, or just one or the other. Our Super Amino Gel Cleanser is a gentle, lightweight formula that is pH balancing and can be used both day and night. It lifts dirt and impurities from the skin with the help of 11 Amino Acids and nourishes the skin with Vitamin E.

You should cleanse your skin everyday no matter what, but especially after sweating (like after a workout) and after wearing makeup.

Incorporate Exfoliants Into Your Routine

Exfoliants are probably the most important part of your skincare routine to help refine your skin's texture, reduce the appearance of pores, and maintain a smooth, even complexion. Depending on your skin type, you should choose to incorporate physical or chemical exfoliants into your skincare routine. Read our blog post on exfoliants to learn more about each type and how you can incorporate both into your regimen.

Physical exfoliants, like the Rose Powder in R+R Mask or Pumpkin and Apricot Seed Powder in Overtime Mask, gently smooth away any topical imperfections like flaky skin. Chemical exfoliants, like the Glycolic and Lactic Acid in Soft Reset AHA Exfoliating Solution or Chestnut Extract in Jet Lag Mask purify skin from the inside out to speed up the skin's natural cell turnover process.

Exfoliants help remove dead skin, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and brighten the skin's overall appearance to reveal smoother skin.

Moisturize Liberally

Many texture issues, including breakouts, are the result of not moisturizing your skin enough. (Yes, even oily skin needs to moisturize!) After your serums or exfoliating, it's important to moisturize your skin liberally in order to restore and maintain the skin's moisture barrier.

CC Me Serum contains Squalane and two different types of Vitamin C that will help hydrate skin. Jet Lag Mask also contains Vitamin C, along with other hydrating ingredients like Shea Butter and Ceramides, that boost your skin's glow and keep it hydrated.

Protect It With Antioxidants

You probably hear a lot about Antioxidants and their importance in skincare (read our blog post about it), but they're especially important if you're trying to refine your skin's texture. Antioxidants protect your skin from Free Radicals and other environmental stressors that may cause inflammation, breakouts, or any other texture issues.

CC Me Serum's Botanical Cocktail contains antioxidant-rich ingredients like Coffee and Green Tea, while the plant-based oils in R+R Mask, particularly Avocado and Grape Seed Oil, also help protect the skin.

With these helpful tips and tricks, you should have your skin its smoothest and healthiest yet.
